Every year my bonus mom's mom throws a huge Chrismas party....Santa even comes! It's mostly just a big party for all the kids. They read Christmas stories, played games, made ornaments, and waited paitently for Santa to arrive. Aydan was everywhere! He had lots of fun just running around. He was still a little young for all the games and activities, but he tried to do them. When Santa comes in from the cold to give out toys and candy... the little ones get weird. It is so funny. The all get very quiet and sit so nicely on the floor in front of him. It's like they're saying, "Look Santa, I'm being so good!" It's adorable. Aydan was very still and was stunned by Santa....until Santa started to give other little kids candy and presents. He got impaitent and restless. He couldn't grasp the fact that he had to wait his turn. (Only child syndrome I think!) He didn't seem to afraid of Santa...but then his turn came, and he did good until he got up too close. He totally freaked out and cried, screamed, and was clawing me to get away. Santa gave him his present and candy bag and he quietly said, "Thank you." At least he was polite to Santa......what a good boy.
