My 23rd B-Day, Aydan's Last Day of Preschool, and Our 18 month Old!

My 23rd birthday was awesome!
(Despite the fact that I went to the doctor earlier that morning, and was diagnosed with an ear infection, that was so bad, that I was informed not to even sneeze or I could blow my ear drum!)
I had the family come over to our house for pizza and cupcakes! I bought these cupcake holders awhile ago, and I think they are so CUTE! It was fun to do some girly/summery cupcakes!

I thought this was cute! The boys were watching everyone leave outside of the playroom windows!
We sure do have an awesome family, that our boys just completely adore!

Aydan's last day of school was on the 18th. Here he is ready to go! He got to wear SHORTS, and they played outside....with shaving cream! Fun stuff! I really loved this preschool, and Aydan got in for next year too! He will be going to Pre-K at Discovery Elementary! He learned so much ( He recognizes all of the alphabet, as well as can write them! He can spell quite a bit of words, and is still working on the phonics of spelling!) this year, and did so well!

So the little man just turned
18 MONTHS!
(on my b-day)
So I thought I'd share some things about him...
He has lot of words, and is in the sentence grunting stage right now!
You know,
"Mom, uh, ah, oooh, bah, to, uh, ah, juice!"
It's funny! He'll come up to me and grunt, and mix in some recognisable words, like he's telling me something important, and points his little finger around, and all I say is "yeah" "okay", and he's satisfied with the fact that I totally understood what he was saying!
I love this age! He has been climbing onto everything, and figuring out ways to get places!
 Like this...

He opened the oven door, and climbed onto the counter! He also pulls all sorts of toys, up to wherever he needs to, to get up onto something!
He can show you where all of his body parts are, and yours too!
Here is a clip of him showing off some of them, and giving "knuckles" and "fives"!

He follows Aydan around EVERYWHERE and copies what he is doing. The other day Aydan was playing with his Superman toy...you know...flying him around, making swooshing noises. Well Trace got a hold of Batman, and was flying him around making the same swooshing noises! So cute!
I think his favorite thing to do is pretend to cook! He stirs up all kinds of good stuff, and always gives bites!
Traceon also just got his 2nd hair cut ever! Really...it's his first "real" haircut, because his first was just cutting off the top wispy hairs so I could spike his hair last 4th of July! Anyway, I took him in to Aunt Jen, and she trimmed his "surfer hair" all up, and he's lookin' go-ood!
So along with turning a year and a half, mom had to take some pics! I mostly wanted to get all of Traceon's faces, that come along with his cute personality!
I think I did good...as you will see...

Look 1:

Cute Cheese face!

Look 2:

So precious! Oh, how I do love this guy!

Look 3:

Look at that face...

Showing me where his eyes are! BTW....DON'T HIS EYES LOOK AWESOME!? To me, he's looking more mature! His crossed eyes didn't give him that mature look! Now he got it goin' on!

Look:4
By far my most favorite! This is the face he has on when he is talking about something that is confusing to him...which is pretty much everything!

PEEK......A.............

BOO!

CUTIE LITTLE BOY BLUE!

Showing the blueberry blue eyes!

Here's my belly-button

And my nose....

Thought I'd throw these pics in for Justin...they're from my Ipod (the video of Traceon is too)! Which I FREAKING LOVE....I listen to Pandora all day! Thanks again babe!
Art got a new swing-set for all the grand kids to play on! It's still in the process of being built, but the kiddos had fun going up and down the slides!

Melanie Graduate's!

So last week (the week that J-Man went back to the sand) was somethin' else!
I was dog sick with the worst cold I've ever had, and I had a busy, busy schedule!
I had plans to make a little girl a cake for her birthday that was on Saturday, May 14. Well that was the day my little sister was graduating college at BSU...and we of course were going to see that! So, I had to make the cake before we left.
It was fun-ish...I say fun-ish because I WAS SO DANG SICK, while bustin' this cake out, that a couple of times I thought I was literally going to pass out! I wore a face mask while baking, making, putting together the cake, and I about suffocated a few times! But it turned out SO cute! Hopefully it won't be the only time I get to build a girly cake!

It was zebra print with lime green accents! I know you want one... right?

Next on my extra-curricular activities was making GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS for Karlee, a family friend! I took her senior pics back in November, and together we came up with these!

Front...

Back....

So with me being the sick with the worst cold in the history of colds...I'm afraid the boys got sick as well. This was them Thursday afternoon. Aydan passed out in the toy room for awhile, and Traceon on my bed. This was even after they both had long naps...in their normal sleeping places...their beds! Poor guys! I hate when the the tiny people get sick with colds, because they're too little to give any cold medicine to. Only some Tylenol.... : ( Where as an adult, I shoved anything and everything down my throat, to get even an once of relief!

Friday morning after Aydan's preschool, we headed to Boise with my grandparents! it was a long trip over, and at times, I thought my esophagus was going to rupture, we made it! And it was BEAUTIFUL in Boise, so we immediately had to go to our favorite park, which is right by the University!
Little Boy Blue!

Aydan-Bug!

Swings!
(Notice their blue and orange outfits...cute and appropriate huh? Except that I should have had them where them on Melanie's actual graduation day! Oh well!)

I love little boy sandals from the Baby Gap...They are always on sale at the first of May. Instead of 22 bucks, I got them for 7! Whoot! Whoot!

Our grandparents and Melanie!

My mom and Dennis.

Saturday May 14, 2011 my little sister, at the age of 21, graduated with honors, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing! She's pretty much got the world in her hands. She also just got a 3 month internship, that will turn into a job with salary, if she proves herself worthy. Obviously that's going to happen, so yay for her! I'm so proud and happy for her! Congratulations Bean!
Here we are at her ceremony!

The orchestra...

The boys watching all the graduates get to their seats! So cute!

My dad, Jerri, and Audree were a couple of sections to the left of where we were sitting in the Taco Bell Arena, so a snagged a pic of them!

Melanie, the college graduate!

At the beginning of the ceremony they had a moment of silence for all the Military and their families that are currently serving....aka....us!
ALL OF THE SPEECHES WERE AWESOME, and it was a great ceremony! The boys were miserable, and probably made everyone around them miserable, but we made it through, to see Melanie walk. I had my camera all ready to take a pic of her getting her degree, but Trace was asleep on my lap, and in that quick moment he moved, which made me move, and I got a pic of the lights instead of her on the big screen. : (

I did get her afterwards, with a big ol' smile on her face though!

Here's some pics after the ceremony of our families!

We went back to Melanie's apartment and had sandwiches, fruit, and graduation cupcakes! Trace tried on some of Melanie's roommate's shoes! Funny!

It was a pretty rough week and weekend, but I was glad to get to see my sister graduate from college, and see her so happy!
