Last Sunday we decided it was finally time to get rid of the binki all together. Justin and I sat Aydan down and told him that binki's were for babies and that because he was a big boy he didn't need it anymore. We had sort of a funeral for the bink....before we threw it away. Aydan was very understanding and kept repeating that binki's were for babies (like Ky) and that they are yucky. He threw them away himself and said, "See ya later binki!" Ummmm.....then came nap time! Holy cow!! He screamed and was so upset...he asked me why over and over again. It was really heartbreaking and awful to see him that angry...but I knew it was time to say goodbye!
He finally fell asleep and hasn't looked back at it. He doesn't ask for it anymore, and it's like he never had it. Not so bad after all.
