Yay! It's December...and that means
COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS!!!
December 1st:
Go Christmas Tree hunting for a tree for downstairs!
The boys were so excited! Daddy borrowed a chain saw from a friend (for and extra affect for the boys of course) and we went and cut down some pretty good looking trees! We got a licence and headed to Kelly Canyon! We spotted the perfect tree right on the side of the road!
Cute helpers!
Don't forget to yell, "TIMBER!"
We decided that the boys should have their own Christmas tree down in their room, so we contiued to venture out into the deep woods the find their perfect tree!
SNOW PRETTY! HA! HA!
I didn't take any pictures of us cutting down their little tree because I was filming it instead...and the video was so funny! I tried to upload it but it didn't work!
We came home and decorated it with all of our homemade ornaments...and some others too!
The Elf hat on top was Aydan's idea...pretty cute!
BOYS TREE! Cute little Charlie Brown tree eh?
December 2nd-4th:
GO TO PARK CITY, UTAH!!!
Well going for Part 2 of the Re-intergration Program for the army wasn't so bad this time! Park City was amazing and so was the Resort we stayed at! It was so pretty and elegant!
1st thing you gotta do when you get into your hotel room is:
JUMP ON THE BED!
Our room was nice, except for the one bed thing! We had a great view as well as a toasty fireplace!
I know we're out of focus, but I still think it's a pretty good picture of us 4!
After we got settled in we had to go up to the main building for dinner and a Speaker. The boys couldn't come to any of the Seminar, so we had to stick them with the hotel child care in the next room! I was a little worried about leaving them with complete strangers, but they were really nice and well organized! When we dropped the boys off they totally got distracted and headed straight for the toys without so much as a glace back, let alone a goodbye! It was relieving and I thought it wasn't going to be so bad! About an hour later I went to check on them and poor Trace was crying. Aydan was holding him as big sobs were coming out of Traceon when I went in! It was so cute and heartbreaking at the same time! The babysitters said that as soon as Trace noticed that mom and dad were not in there he got scared. They also said that Aydan was such a good big brother and did nothing but try to console his little brother! WE WERE SO PROUD!
We went back to the hotel and the boys took a bath in the jetted tub!
And then crashed watching the Smurf movie!
Saturday was gorgeous!
We dropped the kids off and headed off to some more motivational speaches! Trace let us go without any complaint as he was stuffing his face with waffles and bacon, so once again I thought it wasn't going to be so bad! Well right before lunch I went to check on them and tried to be sneaky by just peeking me head in, but Trace (who was not crying, but not okay) saw me, and I had to go in....
Justin had to stay for another 2 hours while I took the boys back to the hotel room for a nice long nap!
While we were sitting in the Conference room that morning I got on my Ipod and used the free WiFi to look up a good sledding place for us to visit that afternoon! MAN...did we hit the mother of all sledding adventures! We went and spent 2 hours at Gorgoza Hill!
Yay! We were all bundled up and ready for some serious sledding! The boys LOVED every minute of it and I'm so glad we had the chance to go!
It was like a roller coaster ride! We caught air going off some of those jumps!
And they had convier belts to take you up the hill so you didn't have to walk!
Aydan and Mommy!
Aydan-Bug went down a couple of times by himself!
It was so much fun! Afterwards we went out to eat at Park City Pizza, and watched a movie in our room! Sunday was short and sweet, and we were out of there about 10, went and got the boys and were stopped by 4 of the babysitters telling us what a wonderful big brother and kid our Aydan was! We basically were like, "Yeah, we know." But MAN he's such a great kiddo! I'm so glad we had him! It's nice to hear from other people that you're doing a good job, and raising a great person! Yay for Aydan!
December 5th:
Pick out Christmas lights for outside decoration!
(I had to throw this pic in real fast...Trace is going to need some blocks for Chrismas! He can't keep away from my Chrismas blocks! Look how he lined them up in a pattern! I'm think I'm going to make him some homemade one's of the alphabet!)
December 6th:
Put lights up!
Justin had so much fun! He's really in the Christmas mood this year!
Aydan and Traceon picked these little guys out! Aren't they cute? Aydan was so excited to get these guys up!
Yay! We had LED icicles, deer, candy canes, swirling trees, presents, LED lights on our bushes, little snow friends, and it all looks so fun!
December 7th:
Write Santa a letter!
Aydan's list...written all by Aydan except for the perfect "e" in "fire." I like his drawing of a scooter!
Trace's list...
Aydan is/was so disturbed that Trace only drew a line. He kept telling us all night that Trace is going to get a "line" for Chrismas! Ha! Ha! Kid logic is the best! I guess maybe I should have helped him more, but I liked that he did it all by himself!
Then we totally mailed them to the North Pole in Santa's specail mailbox!
Some other stuff....
I decorated my Dad and Jerri's Christmas Tree! It's all woodsy and cute! It was so much fun! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
Isn't the lanturn awesome! I put a little hedgehog friend inside!
OH HOLY NIGHT....this is CUTE!
I'm into the Deco Mesh...and I used it in my Dad and Jerri's tree, and needed to use it some more!
So...Whala! A fun Christmas wreath for our front door!
Justin is making 8 reindeer for my Aunt Keri (for a project)...I'm thinking I'm going to need some too!
Justin is now playing in City League Basketball!
It's fun watching him, and it's also so fun that he plays with my Dad!
Justin shooting a foul shot!
Since it's 1:00 in the morning...I guess today we're going to Pinedale to visit my Great Aunt and Uncle that are visiting my grandparents. They're from Michigan, and my Uncle served in Vietnam, so Justin and him should have quite a bit to talk about!
This is Trace helping me pack before he went to bed!
He's such a cheese ball!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
