HOW COME OUT OF ALL
THE LITTLE BOYS
IN THE WORLD,
DID WE GET THE
BEST ONES?
I feel incredibly blessed to have the boys. Everyday is fun, and they bring laughter to our home.
I love to plan special days with them as you all know.
March 2nd is Dr. Seuss's birthday!
We love Dr. Seuss books in our home, and Aydan is reading them for early reading practice! They are fun, and easy to read, but most importantly, almost always have a GREAT message.
"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive that is YOUER than YOU!"
-Dr. Seuss' 'Happy Birthday to You'
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own.
And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go."
-Dr. Seuss' 'Oh the Places You'll Go!'
"Unless someone cares an awful lot, nothing is going to change. It's not."
-Dr. Seuss' 'The Lorax'
"A person's a person, no matter how small."
-Dr. Seuss' 'Horton hears a Who'
"What if Christmas, he thought, isn't about a store? What if Christmas, perhaps, meant a little bit more?"
-Dr. Seuss' 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas'
"Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!"
-Dr. Seuss' 'The Things You Can Think'
What a brilliant man, and such an inspiration to all!
I remember when I was learning to read, my favorite book was "The Foot Book." His books, his rhymes, his messages, have always touched me, and have always brought a smile to my face.
I decided to honor one of our favorite authors by spending March 2nd CELEBRATING!
Luckily Dr. Seuss has not only inspired me, but many more. The Public Library invited the Mayor of Idaho Falls. Mr. Furriman, and Channel 3 News Anchor, Mr. Cannon to read some books for story time!
(We usually go to the library every other week, or once every 17 days, when our books are due! Ha! Ha!)
Anyway we lucked out, because Mr. Cannon read "Green Eggs and Ham" and was FANTASTIC at it! He made faces, and voices, and made everyone giggle! The Mayor however, was lame, sorry to say.

They got "Cat in the Hat" stickers!
We made Lorax mustaches, Lorax with truffula trees, and cat in the hat, hats!
Before leaving the library we always have to look at the fishies!
WE WENT AND SAW THE LORAX MOVIE!
So cute! It brings out the environmentalist in me! The story was great as always, but they did a fantastic job bringing it to life!
When we got home I had something special for the boys to do.....
Fun filled box of creative stuff! Including a "Cat in the the Hat" Hat snack made out of marshmallows and fruit by the foot!
We had a great day, and a wonderful afternoon of being creative, and having fun!
For dessert we had green jello with special pictures to remind us of our great day!
"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."
-Dr. Seuss
This quote is one of my favorites. It reminds me to take in every moment with my young children. Even the bad moments, because one day they will be all grown up, and I can't change it, all I can do is smile because it happened!
I love you Aydan Mychal and Traceon Parker!
