These last couple weeks have been super busy for us!
Enjoy all the pics and stories, as you get a sneak peek into our
Busy October Days!
Trace decided he didn't want to wear a diaper anymore, and took it off!
He flung it around...and of course I thought it was super cute...so I had to take some pics.
Aydan and I were laughing pretty hard at this silly little guy!
His face here...makes me giggle...he's making a stink face...yucky diaper!
I had the privilege to keep and eye on Kylar and Collin (while mom and dad were busy) on a beautiful Saturday afternoon!
Yes...this means I had 4 cutie patooie little boys all at once!
They were all angels of course! I enjoyed spending the afternoon playing with them!
Aydan is such a good big brother and big cousin...look at him holding Collin's and Traceon's little hands!
One goofy morning....these two geeks were super happy and in excellent moods! It made breakfast time extra funny! Boy...do I love these BOYS!
Aydan-Bug has LOVED being in preschool! Last Wednesday when I came to pick him up he ran over to me and said,
"MOM! The Frientist came to school today, and he gave me a new toothbrush, and new toothpaste, and a new flosser. He said we gotta keep those sugar bugs from making owies in my teeth!"
(He couldn't think of the word 'Dentist' in the midst of his excitement! I figure 'Frientist' is between 'Dentist' and 'Friend', which is pretty dang cute!)
Then he proceeded with some more news!
"MOM! My backpack's a little bit heavy today! My books came, and you got me Thomas the Train, and I just really love that you got me new books!"
My heart melted! He's getting so big! I really love his preschool. It's pretty much the AWESOMIST thing ever!
Here he is showing off his goody bag from the "Frientist"! (I had to take pics to document this very cute day!)
And here he is showing off all his new books! Needless to say...we READ all day!
He is so smart and is constantly asking me how to spell words and is very frustrated that he can't read...so why not start to teach him! I bought some great phonics books to help get him started! Oh I just love watching him grow!
These are pictures from my cell phone...
Trace and I were playing sock puppets one morning while Aydan was at school....SO FUN!
Ummm....really guys, I feel incredibly blessed lately with my support team of a wonderful family! All of you have been great! I love the very thought of knowing I have people here for us! It's a great feeling to have, when you are a little unsure about being without your husband and father! So thanks a bunch for letting us feel and know that you're here for us! I apprecitate it more than you'll ever really know!
So some pretty incredible people (Derrick and Jessica) sent a gift certificate to us to go out to dinner at the Olive Garden (one of my favorite place to eat of course)! It was awfully sweet! Anyway, I loaded up the boys, and asked Jennifer and Endi (Jen's friend) to come with us, so we could enjoy a yummy dinner out! Well you know how it is with little kids and restaurants....interesting....at the very least!
So in the midst of telling Aydan to sit down on his butt 40,000 times and trying to keep Traceon from screaming at the top of his lungs, I recognized the couple sitting across the way.
I didn't remember their names, but I did remember them from my grandparents church. They were also there, when my sister and I were baptised in Fremont Lake! So, the didn't really seem like they knew who I was so I decided not to say "Hello" and proceeded to my chaotic night out! They finished their meal before we did and were gone way before we were even close to being finished. When we were finally done...our waiter came over and said that that very couple had paid for our meal! I was in shock at first, then truly touched. I broke down in tears over how special they made me feel! They must have recognized me! As soon as we were in the truck I called GMA and GPA to get their names...and told the grandparents all about how grateful I was to them! GMA and GPA didn't really know who they were from my description, but soon found out that Sunday at church! Bill and Lois Twitchel were the names of the angle people who reached out to me! AND the greatest thing about this story is....they didn't recognize me from the restaurant, so I totally surprised them right back! The LORD works in mysterious ways! Oh! They bought our dinner because Aydan was wearing his "Proud that My Dad Serves Our Country" shirt. Bill also served in the Vietnam war and had never really felt appreciated for his service, so in reaching out to the men and women who serve today, they show their appreciation! Very cool people huh?
These are some pics of the boys on that very touching night!
We sent DADDY a package of goodies! I made two batches of cookies, and a batch of rice crispies (daddy's favorite) and a bunch of random stuff that daddy needed...and didn't really need!
Justin said,
"There are stores all over this place where you can get cookies, and treats, but nothing is better than homemade stuff made from the heart!"
Cutie Boys!
Traceon was mad at me because I wouldn't let him on the couch...cause he flops around and falls off...and makes me have heartburn!
Aydan pretending to be Daddy, all dressed up in gear!
(We were over at Dan and Keri's!)
Eating dinner at the Bajio! The sombrero hat does these kids good, don't ya think?
Justin Update:
He's doing pretty good! Getting lots and lots of training in! He has been feeling a little under-the-weather with some weird abdominal pain, but says that it keeps getting better and better everyday! (Hopefully he's not lying to me....I've been super worried!) The doctors don't seem very concerned and can't find anything serious...so I guess I'll just have to have some faith that he'll be just fine!?
This is a pic of some of the targets they practice on. He says all the ranges and facilities are pretty nice and well organized.
Another pic of his disgusting small pox vaccination....
Playing ARMY DUDE!
BBQin'!
Justin says he going as this for Halloween!
He just shaved his hair all off again!
Here is a pic of those huge MINE RESISTANT and AMBUSH PROTECTING VEHICLE...aka...MRAP!
Okay....so I've been up to my eyeballs in projects! I got to stay some what busy to keep my mind off how much I miss the OLD MAN....
So remember the disaster of a toy room, and how I said I needed some toy boxes or something....well
WHALA!
And I got it on sale....
Remember how bad the dorito mess in the kitchen was, and how I said I needed to baby proof some cupboards....well
WHALA!
I'm not going to reveal exactly how many hours I spent on these stupid things...I don't know whether I should be embarrassed or proud!?
But they work...which is a bonus!
I made these cute sweater pumpkins! Went to the D.I., got 3 sweaters for $9, and made myself some classy fall pumpkins!
I also made the word 'HARVEST' for the mantle...pretty awesome huh?
I had most of the letters already, and picked out some of the cutest scrapbook paper I've ever layed eyes on!
I fell in love with this paper...only if it came in fabric....
Bought 2 lamps at the D. I. for $8, got some new shades for them, spray painted them a fun color and
BAM!
Aren't they pretty? Oh...also...our whole front room has either been given to us, from garage sales/D. I., on sale, or homemade! Pretty proud of that achievement!
Made pretty yellow bows for our FRONT DOOR, and our TRUCK BUMPER! We sure are proud of our Daddy, and not afraid to show him off!
Got the pool table from Art's house that one of Justin's friends gave us! I'm thinking about painting it black...?
Remember that paper I fell in love with earlier...well I went back and bought some more so I could make some picture frames! I'm still not done, I'd like to add some ribbon, embellishments, and/or raffia to them! I made 3.
Aren't these the funnest pumpkin's ever? Guess what they're made of....TOILET PAPER ROLLS! These took me all of 3 mins to make...
I am also working on all of our HALLOWEEN COSTUMES!
They are coming along very nicely....and I just love Halloween...and I'm so dressing up this year...just wait until you see my costume!
Oh...I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am to go to MISSISSIPPI to see the husband! Yay! Justin has a 4 day leave before they head off the Kuwait where they will spend another couple of weeks before heading to Baghdad, but he can only travel 150 miles from Camp Shelby. Our first decision was for me and the boys to go see him...then we thought about how me traveling with two little guys by myself would be, and once we were down there how we would have to cater all the time to the boys (which isn't a bad thing, but it wouldn't give us much time to spend together without the stress of the needs of the little rug rats) So we decided that I would just go spend the 4 days with him...like a vacation! This way Justin and I can really enjoy each other and reconnect and just relax before he leaves again. I feel super guilty now taking the boys, but this way is better for everyone. Any who...I'm super excited and can't wait to hold my man! They boys and I are going to Tooele October 29, and staying quite awhile...I leave for Mississippi November 7 from Salt Lake City, and come back on the 11th, so we'd thought it would be better for the boys if I just left them with Derrick and Jessica while I went on my little escapade. Dillon will be a great distraction for Aydan and I will know that my boys will be well taken care of.
Justin and I are staying in Gulfport Mississippi and this hotel.....right on the Gulf of Mexico, and New Orleans is about 45mins away...so we might take a day trip down there....fun right?
