Van Noy Campground!

For Mother's Day weekend we decided to go
CAMPING
for the first time this year!
Justin and his brother Garrett decided to take all of us to
Van Noy Campground in Spencer, Idaho.
It's about an hour and fifteen minutes away, and such a perfect place to camp! Justin, Aydan, and I have camped at Dairy Creek (which is across the road from Van Noy) before, and loved every minute!
We headed out on Friday at about 2:30. We picked Aydan up from school with the camper attached, and he thought that was pretty cool stuff! It took awhile for the Polson boys to find the "perfect" camp spot, and when we did find it, it was perfect indeed! It was right below a cute little hill, with plenty of space for our two families camp trailers!

Our camp set up!
Isn't our camper so cute!?

We were so excited to be camping!

When we got all set up, we made hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner, and then hung out by the fire pit!

Hello Mr. Blue eyes!

So ready for camping! Aydan LOVES camping, and is such a joy to take! I love camping because it always seems like we get closer as a family and really truly enjoy each other's company!

Aydan, Collin, Trace, and Kylar hanging by the fire!

Trace and Mommy! I love this little boy's personality! He's up for anything....and is SUCH A BOY!

Our niece Charly, all bundled up, and CAMPING!

Trace and Daddy!

Two silly goof-balls enjoying camping together!

What a BLAZE!

The next morning Justin and I tried a breakfast hash in our new DUTCH OVEN!

Then I got some snugs in from Charly!

The boys played with bubble-guns for awhile! (Well, until the bubbles were gone!)

The dads' built a fort for the boys to play in...

Aydan help chop some firewood!

Daddy and Aydan in the fort!
Justin, Aydan, Kylar, and Garrett in the fort!

Besides cooking in a dutch oven, another first for me this camping trip was
SHOOTING GUNS!
I really liked this first gun.... I think I actually shot the plate twice!

But not this gun...it was loud and it hurt my hands...probably should have not closed my eyes....

We took this opportunity to show/teach the boys about our guns. Showing them how loud and powerful they are, and satisfying their curiosity, so maybe they wouldn't think they were to play with. It worked. The guns scarred them enough, that they don't really even want to look at the guns anymore!

I took the boys on a small hike up the hill...they're so cute!

Kylar!

Collin!

We went on a hike to look for
RUMPELSTILTSKIN!
I LOVE Aydan's walking stick!

He spotted his Rumpelstiltskin present!

A SLING SHOT! Oh man...HE LOVES IT!

Looking for Traceon's gift!

A SLING SHOT! Not quite big enough to enjoy it like big bro, but whatever brother has, little brother HAS to have!

Pleased with Rumpelstiltskin!

All the boys with their gifts!

That night we had tin-dins for dinner and Justin and I baked a Cherry-Chocolate cake in our dutch oven and served it with ice cream! Yumo!
After dinner and fire time, we went in to take showers and then daddy read to the boys boys with only a flash light on!

The next day we woke up and ate pancakes, eggs, and turkey-bacon! Garrett and Stephani went back home and we headed out on a fishing trip!
On our way to the creek we spotted DEER!
How pretty is this little creek where we fished!?
Cute boys ready to catch some fish!

Such a cute and innocent pic of our boys throwing rocks into the creek!
Justin forgot his fishing licence so I was only able to fish! Another first....A FISHING LICENCE!
 Mom with her first fish!
 Trace LOVED the fish!
A Dolly Vardon fish! Or....a Polka Dot fish!
The boys had so much fun looking, touching, and releasing the fish!
I let the Hubby cast out one time ; )
I caught a really big fish, but it was a fighter and slipped away when we were getting it off the hook! Trace helped me reel that one in.
This was the last fish I caught. He was little and cute!
We had so much fun, and can't wait to do it again, and again, and again!

Best Mother's Day a woman like me could ask for!
All my boys, all to my self!
Aydan made me a cute Mother's Day card, and got me a blow dryer. It was very thoughtful of him since I broke my other one a couple of weeks ago!
Aydan's Mother's Day card:
Ha! Ha! MY FAVORITE THING IS TO GO SHOPPING AND DO LAUNDRY!
I better start coming up with more fun stuff....than that.... to do!
