APRIL WENT FAST!

This post is just a quick little preview of what our life has been like the last few weeks! And when I say quick, I mean LOTS of pics!

My step-sister Audree turned 18 years old on the 11th! Holy Crap....she's making me feel old!
She had a cute little family party at my Dad and step-mom's house! Jerri did a cute 1994 theme, cause that's the year Audree was born! Jerri made different collages of Aud over the past 18 years, and gave her a cute keepsakes box full of special stuff for Audree!

Everyone could write a little something to Audree if they wanted to!

It was super nice outside, and the kids played in the dirt while Gpa Snyder cooked hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill!

Audree and her boyfriend, Michael.
Dan and Jerri!

Trace and Gpa!

Tra got to help Audree open her keepsake box!
Photos from the past years..........

Jerri gave her a necklace and earrings that her dad gave Jerri when they were still married.

So cute! This is a little bracelet that Audree had as a newborn!

To go along with her 1994 theme! 2 Disney movies that came out that year!

Some shoes........
And pants.....................

Jerri and Audree!

Happy Birthday Audree!

Aydan had a super fantastic game on April 21st scoring 3 baskets! And one of them was a 5ft Jump Shot!

SIGNED AYDAN UP FOR KINDERGARTEN!
What?

*****************************************************
To celebrate my Aunt Keri's birthday they had us over to ROAST MARSHMALLOWS!
WE LOVE WARM WEATHER!

Hitler-Mallow-Stache!

We went to our niece Charly's blessing on April, 22nd. I think it was the hottest day of the year so far! Like 87 degrees out! We went to Garrett and Stephani's house after for some yummy lunch and the little boys had a water fight outside to cool off!
Justin and I got our "Charly fix" or maybe just our "baby fix" in by getting to hold her A LOT!
Isn't she cute?

After the water fight, the boys settled down for a movie and snack!

So I totally read The Hunger Games trilogy in 5 days! It is a fantastic story, and quite the page turner! I finished "The Hunger Games" book in 11 hours, and HAD to see the movie! Movie was great, but of course the books are ALWAYS better! The cinematography in the movie is pretty jumpy, but it's such a high suspense movie, that it worked for me!  I'm not a huge movie critic either. Movies are for my entertainment. I don't sit there and fester over what I did or didn't like about a movie. Safe to say I have only been FULLY disappointed in a movie....maybe.....and handful of times!
People have been comparing this story to the Twilight series..........and the only things that are similar is that there is a "love triangle", and it's for teens and young adults (mostly) ; )
Can't wait to see "Catching Fire!"
"May the odds ever be in your favor!"
Goosebumps.......

April 28 is Workers Memorial Day. It is a day to commemorate killed, injured, or suffering illness from occupational hazards and accidents.
On July 28, 1998 Kerry Austin died in an accident at the Idaho Nuclear Engineering and Environmental Laboratory. He was 47 years old.
Each year on this special day a person is chosen to be honored Nationally by a plaque, certificate, and a brick with their name in graved in it to be set in a wall in Maryland.
This year they chose my Aunt Keri's father (Kerry Austin).
They had a small ceremony for his family at Freeman Park on Saturday April 28, 2012. A representative from the Union was there as well as the Mayor of Idaho Falls to honor and remember Kerry. We went to support my Aunt Keri, whom we are very close with.
It was a beautiful, brisk morning, with lots of Kerry's family at Freeman Park to honor and remember him.
 Union Representative and Mayor Furrman.
Aunt Keri's oldest brother, Brady Austin. He wrote wonderful things about his father, and did a great job representing his father for his family. After he spoke he played a safety video that his father, Kerry had made years ago.
Hearing her dad's voice for the first time in years was hard.
Many of you know that my "Aunt Keri" is technically NOT my Aunt.
Rundown: My step mom, Jerri has a brother, Dan. Dan (step-Uncle Dan) and Keri have been a couple for 10 or 11 years, but are not married.
Technically speaking she is not my "Aunt", but she has been MORE of an Aunt to me than any of my "real" Aunts. So I honor her by introducing her as my REAL AUNT. Always have, and always will.
Dan and Keri are proof that you do not have to sign a piece of paper to be committed to each other.
They are an inspiration by just being themselves. Loving, and supporting each other through thick and thin!
Aunt Keri and her brothers, Brady, Tom, and Ben, with the Mayor and Union Rep.
The lady in the "peach" is Kerry's mom. Aunt Keri's grandma. I think she could possibly be the funniest lady I've ever met! It was nice to see her honoring her son.
This is a flag given to the family. It is the FLAG OF HONOR. It represents all the men and women who died while working on September 11, 2001.
Two very pretty granddaughter's of Kerry. Tage and Tommie!
To honor Kerry Austin we all wore these ribbon pins on our shirt. Purple is the official color to honor this special day, and the special people who have died.

The last few days of April have been kind of lazy. We've been playing, watching movies, and trying out new recipes!
