Hoback Camping Trip 2012!

July 29th through August 4th we went on our annual Hoback River camping trip!

We had so much fun, and this year we had our camp trailer which made it even more enjoyable!

Derrick, Jessican, Dillon, and Braxton, as well as Garrett, Stephani, Kylar, Collin, and Charly were all at camp to have fun with!

Sunday we got in, set up and then had delicious Cowboy Chili!

Since there were so many of us, we decided to split up meals, so not just one family was cooking every meal. It worked out great, and we ate like Kings and Queens!

All I can say is, BOYS AND THEIR BIKES!

Our camp was next to this little hill, so the boys dragged their bikes up and rode down! It looked like a pretty fun ride too!

Little Charly was such a good baby! She did awesome and got a little dirty too! I had to take a pic of her sucking her thumb! So sweet!

Sunday night Aunt Jess broke out the glow sticks and the boys had a blast making mostly snakes!

FUNNY STORY:

So Monday morning was Justin and I's turn to make breakfast! Before we went camping we decided that since we were all going to be together it would be a great opportunity to tell everyone we are pregnant! Well, with 7 kids around I thought it would be fun to make Blue and Pink pancakes for our breakfast as a hint to let everyone know! Justin and I did a pretty good job of keeping the pancakes kind of hidden while we were making them, then the time came to eat and we brought the pancakes over expecting everyone to quickly say something like, "Yay, Congrats!"

We got nothing, but, "Cute idea!"

Ha! Ha!

I walked over to Justin and said, "Well, that wasn't quite how we thought they were going to react!"

We both laughed and Justin went over to his brothers and asked if they were "dense" or just out of it! And I walked over the Jess and Steph and asked them what they thought the Blue and Pink pancakes meant! Then everyone clued in! It was kinda funny....I thought it would be pretty obvious!

Later that morning we went on our Rumpelstiltskin walk!

Aydan got his first Air soft Gun!

Trace got a set of golf clubs!

All the boys were pretty thrilled with their gifts from their friendly forest friend!

Tuesday was a fun day! Garrett, Stephani, Kylar, Derrick, Dillon, Aydan, and Justin got to go down the river on the boats! That means Jess and I got to stay back at camp with the babies! Trace, Braxton, Collin, and Charly! They were all so good and I was glad that everyone else got a turn to go down the river!
After floating, Justin and I had dinner and made Dutch oven BBQ Ribs with Bacon Ranch Potato Salad! Yummmm! We were pretty nervous about cooking in the Dutch Ovens, but they turned out great and we had fun getting to cook in the ovens!

It took a lot of rearranging of coals for 2 hours of cooking!

After dinner all the boys played and played! Such cuties....look at all those gorgeous eyes!

Then they all took turns swinging all the way around in the hammock! This is Aydan!

That night we broke out the smores!

Wednesday Derrick, Jess, Dillon, Aydan, and I went down the river and had a blast!  Justin stayed at camp with Braxton and Traceon! Aydan is such a champ and rode Bull (sitting on the front of the boat) almost the whole way! He just loved it, and Justin and I LOVE that he likes things like that! He is totally our kid FOR SURE!

Thursday Derrick, Jess, Dillon, Braxton, Justin, Aydan, Traceon, and I all got to go down! It was so much fun getting to got together! Here are the boys waiting patiently to go down to the river!

Aydan, Traceon, and Braxton got to go in one of the ore frame boats with Aunt Jess and Uncle Derrick. Dillon got to go in the fishing ore frame boat, and Justin and I got to go in the paddle boat!

Thursday after floating and before dinner we took the boys fishing about 20 mins away from our camp! Dillon and Aydan caught a few fish and even some at the same exact time! The two little ones didn't really enjoy fishing all that much, but had a good time throwing rocks into the stream!

Friday, Derrick and Jess decided to go home! After they left we went to Jackson Hole! Our Anniversary is August 9, and it was the 4th so we decided to go out to where we got married! On our way to Schwabacher's Landing we saw a MOOSE!

Isn't such a gorgeous place! I'm so glad we got married here! It is such a great gift from God! What better place to get married than somewhere that he created just for us!?

After that we went and got something to eat, window shopped in the stores, and went to Yippy-I-O Candy Shop!

Saturday morning we packed up and headed home! It was a great trip and we had so much fun!
