So yeah....
JUSTIN IS DONE WITH THE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD!
He is now called a Retired Veteran!

Waiting for daddy's flight in the Hangar!

What a relief!

So we finally made it through all that! Ha! Ha!
It has been full of ups and downs, awarding skills, lasting relationships, and most of all, the fulfilment of serving the United States of America.

It's been kind of weird for Justin and I to know that that part of our life is over.

So to commemorate all this, I decided to throw Justin a SURPRISE ARMY RETIREMENT PARTY!
1st-SO STRESS FULL...I highly doubt all ever do a surprise party again!
2nd-IT WAS SO WORTH IT TO GET THE REACTION I GOT FROM JP!
I had help from my dad and Jerri, and decided to have the party at their new house! I invited family and friends as well as some of Justin Army guys!
Some of the decor.
I put pictures and awards up for people to look at.

Everyone waiting patiently for us to arrive.

We walked in and Justin took a look around, and teared up! Such a rewarding reaction! It means it really meant a lot to him to have everyone there!

Time to EAT!

I made 2 banners in Photoshop. One said, "Thank you SGT Polson!" and one said, "Happy Retirement!"

Some peeps eating outside...

I took 5 pics of Charly Girl because she looked so dang cute in her cute lace romper, and cute handmade headband (by me) but she was making silly faces in all of them....but I still thought this one was cute, even if she is spitting!

Justin's family went in and got him this picture of George Washington praying at Vally Forge. Pretty cool, and that era is one of his favorites in American History!

Talking with some friends....Raliegh Scott.

I also made a slide show of Justin's Army career for everyone to watch.

Brennan Bradly and Justin.

Our little Army Family!
I'd like to quote some of the nice things some of Justin's Army pals said to me while I was organizing this party:
SGT Benny Miralas: "Justin is one of the best soldiers I know Sam...and I'm glad he has you to support him and his "geeks" to love him like crazy. My wife and I have so much respect for him. We all miss his cute butt like crazy!"
SPC Brennan Bradly: "I love him, he is the definition of a man. He is so selfless, and I look up to him. He has touched me in such a way, that it has changed my life. What a great buddy."
SGT Josh Clark: "It was great to see Justin, and share in the moment of honoring such a great soldier and man."

Thank you for serving SGT Justin Polson!
It has been hard when you left for Basic Training,
When you left for AT 2 weeks out of every year,
When you left to Air assault school,
When you left for Warrior Leaders Course,
When you would come home from drill grumpy and frustrated,
and when you left for a year to the most hostile place on earth; Iraq.
But it has never been hard loving you through it. I'm so proud of you and your accomplishments. You will be honored for many generations. Thank you for being such an example to our children, for giving them a role model to be proud of.
I love you my Retired Veteran!
