Aydan loves to play in the cupboards in our kitchen. He pretends to cook, and just has the greatest time. He likes to climb into this particular cupboard and lock himself in. There are child locks on all the doors, so he gets in and it locks... He thinks that it is pretty fun.

FAIR TIME!!!!
The East Idaho Fair is every year during the first week of September. We love going because there is lots to do and there's really good food. Aydan went last year as an itty bitty, but he didn't enjoy it near as much as this year! He got to eat yummy tortatoes, cotton candy, and sweet smoothies. He went on the carousel and loved it. He waved at Daddy, and Grandma and Grandpa Snyder every time we passed them. It was so cute. He also got a football painted on his hand. We tried to do it on his cheek, but he kept wiping it off. The hand worked out to be much better, because he could see it. Maybe next year we will do his cheek! Aydan had so much fun petting the goats. They were very friendly. We were a little worried that they would nibble on Aydan's little fingers....... We saw cows, horses, and sheep too! We also came home with some fair fish, but unfortunately they already passed. So much for prize fair fish! Oh yeah, we saw ky's picture....so cute! Too bad it didn't win, it was an awesome picture!

THE LOCKS ARE GONE!!!!!!
We cut Aydan's "surfer hair" all off last night. Justin had to cut his hair for drill (Army stuff) and we decided to cut Aydan's too! We really liked his hair long, but we really like it short too! He is such a little stud muffin! We of course had to take pictures of the event. As you can see he had a whole handful of hair!! Oh by the way I cut my hair as well. A couple of weeks ago I decided that I was going to donate my hair to Locks of Love. It is a foundation for kids and adults that are either born without hair or have cancer and are going through kemo. I guess real hair makes excellent wigs. I donated 10 1/2 inches of my hair. It used to take me forever to do my hair, now it's done in 5 minutes. I love that!!

POOL TIME FUN
Aydan blew everyone out of the water, with his water skills. He floated on his back and his tummy, held his breath when he went under, kicked his feet, and blew bubbles. He had a blast and wasn't afraid of the water at all. The lifeguard on duty was amazed, and so was I. She said that he was way past advanced for even the 2-4 year old swimming lessons. She said he was well qualified to be in the class....but too bad he's too young. I told her that he has always been a little ahead in everything. So Smart! I had lots of fun watching him play in the water, and so did my grandma. Aydan and I haven't been to a pool like that since he was 4 or 5 months old. The little Turkey wasn't cooperating very well with pictures, but some how I got some cute pics.

A Really Quick Trip to Pindale!!!!
My Grandma and Grandpa Aultman live in Pinedale Wyoming, which is 2 1/2 to 3 hours away from Idaho Falls. They come every now and again on spur of the moment shopping trips. (Pindale is a small town, that doesn't have very many stores... like Walmart) On Tuesday my grandma called and said she was in town shopping, so we met up with her and then she invited us to come home with her. It was kind of perfect because Justin was working in Island Park all week, and Aydan and I would have been home alone. We had some fun while we were there. Wed. morning some kids that my grandma babysitts came over to play with Aydan. Then on Thursday morning we went to the new local pool, to Moms and Tots. Aydan blew everyone out of the water!! (See pool time post). Thursday night we went to a volleyball game. We knew a lot of the girls that were playing, so it was fun for me to watch them....They were pretty stinkin' good...I think they might make it all the way to state! Friday morning we came home. Thanks grandma and grandpa for the great week! We're coming again, and this time we will bring Justin! (He was bummed out that we went without him, Pinedale's Awesome!)

AYDAN MYCHAL POLSON
Ohhhh.....the joys of being a mommy and a daddy! We love Aydan so much! He tests our patience and our energy, but it's so much fun watching him grow! Good thing we're young...so we can keep up with him! He is now 19 months, almost 20 months old. I would describe his personality as busy, but mellow. He's not real particular about anything, but he sure is everywhere! He is just smart as can be, and I think part of it is because he is so curious. He likes to figure things out and is a very quick learner. For example his first steps were at 9 months, and was walking smoothly at 10 months. We have to be careful of the things we do around him. He is talking more and more, and it is cool not only for the obvious reasons but now I can actually know exactly what he wants because he tells me. Some of his words are potty, hi, hello, bye bye, what's that, I want that, clock, yeah, no, mommy, daddy, nama(grandma), napa(grandpa), whow, see ya, sippy, cookie, cracker, cheese, thankyou, please, toes, nose, hair, eyes, teeth, hands, shoes, hot, pillow, blanky, binki, toy, shhhh, baby, don't, car, keys, dog....and lots more but I could go on more than I already have. The most recent acheivement is going on the potty. That's right....he goes on the potty. (see potty post) He is learning to stay out of stuff, like the dishwasher and mommy and daddy's special things. (Like the TV) He is starting to sit down and do more activities with me like coloring, painting, and all sorts of crafts. I am very excited for the holidays coming up. This year I think he will enjoy it more. I am going to have to come up with some killer plans to keep Aydan busy during the cold winter days. We have been outside almost everyday this summer. I can't keep him inside. Who could blame him though? First thing we have to do is buy him a snow suit and some boots! I don't know what I'm going to do though...I hate the cold!

GEM LAKE FUN!!!!
Sometime int the middle of July Aydan and I went to Gem Lake with the neighbors. Gem Lake is just a place off of the Snake River where you can go swiming. We had so much fun. Bridgette, Ellie, and Evan Grimmett are our next door neighbors. We have a lot of fun with them. Ellie is just a couple weeks older than Aydan. They play so well together and it gives Aydan and I something to do. Bridgette is awesome. We share a lot of the same interests and get along great together. It's nice to have.
