Some color and a Promotion!

Aydan Mychal. He tests me sometimes! I was going to the bathroom and then I went into my room....I swear I was gone for about 1 min 30 sec....I came out into the living room and this is what I saw! I really wanted to yell, but I knew it was mostly my fault for leaving a marker out. I know better! Anyway...it was all over the stools, wall by the stools, and on the couch. The couch came out wonderfully. (Thank goodness!) But I need a magic eraser for the walls. Stinkin' kid!

Some good news though....Justin just got promoted to a Sergeant. He went from a Private to a Specialist to a Sergeant in 3 1/2 years! Good job babe! He works so hard! He will now have drill every month in Rexburg at the Bravo battery.

Over the hills, and through the woods.....to Grandma's house we come!

PORTLAND, OREGON Here we come!

Here's Aydan on the ride to Boise. He was very excited to ride in the big airplane to see Grandma!
He was being a goof and trying to steal the camera away from me! He did pretty well on the ride there. He was spoiled with new books, puzzles, and toys, that occupied him pretty well. He fell asleep the last hour...so that was nice!

Melanie and Aydan waiting to get on the plane!

Here's Justin getting a snack in before the 45 min ride!
Aydan was so cute, looking at all the planes. Very curious indeed! Oh! and Aydan got his very own suit case....a penguin back pack with wheels! It was full of entertainment....he did awesome at pulling it around! How cute!

When we arrived in Portland my mom and Dennis took us all out to eat at Almalfi's (or something like that) and it was delicious! It was just a block or so from where they live, so we walked. That afternoon was the only afternoon full of sunshine...so we took advantange of it!
Here's Aydan sniffin' the spring flowers! (yeah...it's spring there!)My boys, enjoying themselves!

This is a street light post, and I took a picture of it because we thought it was funny. All the staples, nails, and other things on it from former flyers and papers. It was interesting!
Here is another interesting pic of a basketball hoop. The houses in the neighborhood we were in did not have driveways so, they put their b-ball hoops in the street! While we were in Portland my mom got us tickets to see Wicked! It is the prequal and sequal to the Wizard of Oz. It was awesome and so funny. All the actors were so wonderful, and had beautiful voices! Thanks again mom and Dennis!
Here is Aydan eating candy from the Easter basket my mom gave him at my moms house. Which was small, but extremely cute!
Pool Time!
Once again Aydan is amazing in the pool, and he can't get enough. He begged and begged to go to the pool when we were not there already!
Cute pool pics of my boys! My mom, Aydan and I swimin' away!
We were lucky enough to get to go and see where my mom and Dennis both work. They work at Harry's of Basic American Foods. This particular plant makes soups. Dennis took us on a grand tour of where they make all the soup. It was really cool. There is a lot of preperation that goes on! There were buckets and bucket of ingredients! It was great! Thanks again Dennis!
Bye Portland! We will soon see you again! We had such a great time, and we both agree it was not long enough! Justin loved this little break and is mad at himself for forgetting to take the camera along we he went golfing....on a really beautiful course! Thanks again Mom and Dennis, we had a fantasic time!

Meet Hamilton (Hammy) and Cooper!

This one is Hammy,

and this one is Cooper. (I can tell them apart because one of Cooper's eyes doesn't open all of the way. Also Hammy is a lot more active.

Their sweet little Hampster House!

They're kinda cute for rodents huh?

Playin' on the killer slide!

It is so much fun watching them scurry around in the little ball! Aydan loves it!

So....some how we got talked in to getting mini hamsters. My Aunt Keri got her two boys hamsters for Christmas and the pet store told them that they were getting two boys. Well one of them (obviously the girl) had babies 7 weeks ago! Friday Keri called and said that the babies were old enough to be given away, and asked if we wanted one...and I'm still nervous as to why we said yes! Honestly though...it has been so fun! Aydan loves them and it is so cute watching him talk to them and want to take care of them. He sits and watches them...yes just sits there and takes it all in! I think for about an hour today, we sat there and took pictures and watched them go around and around in their house...talk about being entertained! They don't stink...and they are pretty easty to take care of. We are worried about the two making babies...because we don't know the sex....but if they do...we will take it from there....it's so fun though! Geeze...the things your kids make you want to do....like having rodents for pets! I guess it's just part of making memories with your family!

Something to Look At!

So, I thought that it would be kind of fun to show all of you what I'm doing right now in class. Here are some assignments of mine. I have been working a lot with Photoshop...and I am growing more and more in love with it! When I did these three assignments, they made me feel like I was a real professional Interior Designer. Anyway I thought I would share.....

Big Box!

This weekend was semi-exciting because we finally bought a new WASHER and DRYER! Yay!

The best thing about getting the new washer and dryer was their great big boxes! We cut a door and some windows in the box for Aydan to play house in. He loves it! He packs things in out and plays so nicely. It's very cute!

I love the new washer and dryer. Doing laundry this weekend was much more fun than it usually is. They are so modern (It was kind of nerve racking getting to know them....I felt like I was going to break them. I guess going from a 1980's-19990's machine to a 2009 is a little different!) and they both play me a sweet little song when they're finished with a load!

FORT AYDAN

NO GIRLS ALLOWED! (Except mom of course!) Aydan and I were board...and are so ready for it to be warm outside...so we decided to build a fort to play in today. Aydan loved it. I thought for sure he would tear it down as soon as I put it up.

We played for over an hour....which made me remember how hot forts can get (when you are inside them!)

I love making memories with my son. It is so fun to watch him grow and learn. How lucky am I...I played in a fort today...with my favorite little guy!

(I know...the stinkin' kid doesn't like clothes...what am I supposed to do?)

Snuggle Up!

FAMILY NIGHT!
We seem to be so busy with school and other things lately that Justin and I decided that we should have a family night once a week. We usually hang out together anyway...but this makes it extra special!
The Rules are:

*Our undived attention to Master Aydan!
*Must have snacks and treats!
*Have fun being together in the moment!

Last week we all played with playdough....this week we watched Kung Fu Panda. Aydan loved it especially because we got out all the blankets and pillows and made a huge nest to "snug" in!
