Our 2012 Christmas

Our Christmas this year was fun and exciting just like it always is! Gma and Gpa Thompson arrived Friday the 21st from Portland, and the boys had so much fun with them while they were here visiting! They even got to come to Aydan's last basketball game where he made 2 baskets, and showed off his mad ballin' skills! ; o )
It FINALLY snowed enough for the boys to go outside and play in it! They were so cute making snowballs, and snow angels! They even decided to shovel the neighbor's driveways for them!
AND.....I have to document that Traceon ate yellow snow as well as white......
Gross.

Christmas Eve we went to Calvary Chapel's Candlelight service! Singing Christmas songs, and learning about the gift that God gave us brings peace to the chaotic life we live in. It's so nice just to know in your heart the love and promise our Creator has for us. ; )

Our family on Christmas Eve 2012

That night the Gma's made all kinds of appetizer's for us to eat for dinner, including sweet and sour meatballs, bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos, and fruit! I have to tell ya, it was nice to have my Mom and Gma here for a couple of days! I'm totally DONE being pregnant, and I wasn't feeling very well over the holiday, and I didn't have to lift a finger because of them! They did everything! It was nice to have all the help!
The Aultman side of the family around the Christmas tree!
Just us girls!
After dinner Aunt Jen came over and played video games with Justin and Aydan!

The boys don't ever really fight us on going to bed, but when they know Santa's coming to bring lots of goodies, there was no questioning! They set out some cookies and milk for the big guy in red, and hit the hay!
I'm pretty sure that for the next couple of years, Christmas morning is going to be before the crack of dawn at our house! Aydan was so excited and woke up at 5a.m. He was so sweet, and waited until 6a.m. when his little brother woke up to really get serious about waking everyone else up to tell them that Santa had come! We got to opening presents about 6:30a.m.
They were SO EXCITED!
While waiting for everyone to get up, they snuggled in their new Avenger's blankets that Santa had brought them! Aren't they cute?

Aydan wanted a skateboard really bad for Christmas, and I thought he was a little too young. He needs some practice but, he definitely knows what he's doing!
Opening/dumping their stocking's out!
Sweet helicopter!
I know this is not a very good picture of Aydan but it was the only one I got of evidence that Santa brought Baby Lincoln stuff for his sock! Some bink's, booties, and fabric! Santa's elves must have seen mommy looking at the fabric in Joann's! Now all I have to do is make him a cute, snuggly burrito blankie, and car seat cover! And the fabric matches his new car seat! How fun!
Cool motorcycle!
Great Gma and Gpa opening their gifts!
I got a pizza stone! Yay!
My Mom and Dennis opening their gifts!
Justin got a majorly COOL gift for Christmas/birthday/graduation! A BOSE surround sound system! We have been enjoying watching movies really loud (since our neighbor's are out of town!)
Next up we went to Gpa and Gma Snyder's house where we enjoyed opening presents, and eating delicious food, as well as hangin' out together!
Here is Traceon opening some cute clothes!
Aydan-Bug got some cool new kicks!
HULK HANDS!
Nerf guns!
Gpa Snyder spoiled the boy's and got them a huge crane, semi truck/trailer, and tractor! They are some cool toys!
After that we headed out to Gpa and Gma Polson's house for some Japanese dinner! Justin was in charge of making the sushi, as he is every year since he got his cool sushi making kit, and it turned out so yummy! I had some California roll, which has nothing raw in it! They also had Yakisoba, and Miso Soup!

Collin and Traceon hanging out together before opening presents!
Uncle Justin and Charly! (She looks so BIG in this pic!)
Opening presents together!
The boys got the Avengers movie and HUGE nerf guns from Gpa Polson!
Justin got some sweet camp accessories, including the shirt he's wearing for Christmas!
This week has been fun! We have been slowly opening and putting away all of our gifts, as well as getting some good playing in!
I woke up, and came out to the living room/dining room to see the boys coloring! They got some cool new METALLIC CRAYONS for Christmas. Aydan seems to really like the different look they give!
CUTE BOYS!

We had a great Christmas with lots of family! Thank you all for a great time, and for severely spoiling us!

We are excited to bring in the year of the arrival of the 3rd little man! I think we are going to go sledding during New Year's day, and then I have some fun stuff planned for us to do while trying to  stay up till 12a.m.!
I told the boys we could set up mattresses in our upstairs living room AND build a fort over it to sleep in! We'll see if that actually happens or not!

Christmastime Fun, and Some Exciting News!

We love Christmastime around here! The kind spirit that it brings is just so filling and warm on a person's soul!
So about a 10 days before Christmas Santa sent the boy's an ELF ON THE SHELF!
He showed up one morning and decorated our kitchen table for a fun "Yay it's Christmas" breakfast!
The boy's were so excited, and didn't know what to think! After we read the story of what having an Elf in our home during the Christmas season meant, it got super fun!
The boy's decided to name their little Elf Mack!
And he had lots of fun with our little men this Christmas!
Here is the morning he came!

The next morning he was in a stocking with a letter from Santa saying how excited he was for the boy's and Mack! And an official Certificate of Adoption came to!
Then he was in our tree, with the boy's underoo's hanging all over!
Ha! Ha!
Every morning, it was a fun little game for the boy's to find Mack!
This morning he was in the fridge and had turned our milk green and red!
The boy's thought he brought them presents on this morning, but instead he had just wrapped their shoes up!
Traceon accidentally touched Mack the Elf, and you can't do that or his magic goes away! So Santa sent us a recovery kit to fix him up, and then the next morning he had made himself an Elf Kissing Booth! Yummy chocolate kisses for the taking!
He decided to read a Christmas story to the Christmastime friends!
Then he took a ride on one of mom's reindeer decorations!
The last night he was here (because on Christmas Eve he has to fly back home with Santa) he drew funny things on the boy's pictures! Aydan was highly offended by this, but kept saying he was "jealous." I guess he didn't like Mack's sense of humor!
We have an advent calender, but didn't do and advent activity every day of December, just a few days!
One day we made these cute milk-jug snowmen!
Tortilla snowflake treats!

Polar Express night!
Train treat.....
Snowman snow globes, and then a quiet movie night snuggled up watching the movie!
We made these cute friends to play with!
We had an actual "true meaning of Christmas" day! Learning all about long ago when baby Jesus was sent to us! And learning about God's promise and gift to us!
We made hand print ornaments!

One of our family's FAVORITE Christmas traditions is making gingerbread houses!

This year Trace got to make his very own for the first time!
Here's dad's finished house!
Aydan's finished house!
Mom's finished house!
We wrote to Santa, telling him what to bring us!

Then saw him in the mall!

It was the first year (except when he was brand new, and slept through the experience) that Traceon didn't cry! He had so much fun sitting on Santa's lap! Look how cute and grown up he is!

I made these cute "Christmas pencil" treats for Aydan's teacher's! They were fun to make, and so DARLING!
One night we made Christmas cookie cutter mini pizza's!

Another night we took the Christmas Express to look at Christmas lights around town!
The boy's got out of the bath and by their jammies were special tickets to ride the Christmas Express! They got dressed and headed upstairs where there was hot chocolate, popcorn, and blankets waiting for them! They gathered everything and headed to the Christmas Express (the truck) where they got their special tickets punched. Aydan's was punched into an "A" and Traceon's into a "T!"

They were so excited! We saw some pretty cool lights too!
Daddy heard from one of his co-workers about this house out in Iona that played it's lights to Christmas music! This house was awesome! It had about 15-20 mins of songs, and the lights blinked to the beat of each song! So fun and cute!
One night we had our nephew's/buds over to build some SLEIGHS!
Lowe's puts on this little building workshop every other week with special little kits for kids to build. We have never gone because daddy just brings them home to us! Uncle Justin got all the boys hooked up with aprons, safety goggles, and mini hammers! The boy's were so excited to start building!

All done with their cute Christmas sleigh's!
One thing I did do this year was put our names on our stockings! Cute huh!?

We have had a blast getting ready for Christmas by doing all kinds of activities!

Exciting NEWS!

Justin got accepted to graduate ISU with a Bachelor's in Health care Administration!
He also got his internship at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (the biggest and best health care facility around here) and starts the first week of January!
He will be awarded his diploma after finishing his internship, which sounds like will only take about 6-8 weeks!
Way to go JP! We need to celebrate!
