Man what a rough week!
This week and I are not getting along.
I hate it. It and I are not friends.
Sent husband off to war.
Took youngest in for scary eye surgery.
Starred up at a water bubble in the ceiling caused by the leaky fridge.
Yep...this week and I are over...and I never want to see this week again!
Here is the water bubble in the ceiling in the basement, right under the fridge. Found this out by Aydan telling me quite the story about something drippin' in his face, and his clothes being all wet... At first I thought he was just playing in the sink in the downstairs bathroom....but nope...
Restoration guy came by to take a look at it this morning, and had some good news for me!
He said that I pulled a good move by turning off the water that runs through the fridge, and because I did that, it gave the drywall time to dry up. He said that there was no moisture...which means there's no mold or bacteria! And....he said he would fix the bubble in the ceiling for $75....And....insurance will cover that....
So....not so bad after all....
He is now a new man!
This is him the night before...I figured I had better get some last pics of the cross eyes...
This is before 6 a. m. on Wednesday morning, at the surgical center...
Trace was in such a good mood for being woke up so early! What a good kid!
The nurse came in with this little surgical gown....
SO DANG CUTE!
With his little diaper bum hangin' out!
She even brought him a few toys to play with...
But he wanted to play with the bed instead...
I LOVE that he is such a snuggler!
Surgery lasted exactly an hour. I walked him to the operating room, gave him a good luch kiss, and handed him off at 7am sharp. At exactly 8am Dr. Affleck came in and told us how it went. Us...I mean my angel sister Melanie and I. He said surgery went beautifully and Traceon was a rock star through it all. Trace was in recovery for about 30 mins before they brought him to me.
He was pretty swollen and slept for the next hour we were there.
We left before 10....pretty sweet huh?
Here's our little CHAMP!
He did so well! He was really itchy from the medicine, and really sleepy.
Just some playful pics of our precious little guy.
We came home and I put him in his crib and he slept until noonish.
He woke up and wanted to play! He looked like he was in a little pain...but I gave him some Ib profin...which I think did the trick!
His eyes looked so good! He was swollen and the corners of his eyeballs were really red but they were
STRAIGHT!
He did not enjoy the bright camera in his face...but mom was so excited....she had to take pics!
Sorry for all the jammie shots....Mom is letting me hang in my jams all day everyday...
These pics were from yesterday. The swellin was almost all the way gone, and the corners of his eyes were still a little red, but pretty dang straight!
Mr. Blue Eyes!
I cannot even begin to tell you all how grateful I am that this surgery was even possible!
How amazing is that?! His doctor did a great job, and we are very pleased with him and are greatly apprieciative!
It is taking some getting used to looking at Trace with straight eyes. His eyes seem bigger, brighter, and healthier...if that even makes sense....?
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! We are getting ready to have some of our favorite people over for dinner tonight....so I know our night's going to be AWESOME!
