So...I'm updating our crazy life adventures...
I LOVE the way Traceon looks in some of his new jammies...they fit his little body so cute!
Great Grandma Rosemary and Great Grandpa Vern came for a visit the Monday before Thanksgiving! Trace got spoiled with some birthday gifts one of which was a beautiful quilt made with love by Great Great Grandma Vanderpool, Great Grandma Rosemary, and Grandma Chris...how special huh? He loves it, and mom does too!
I decided to post 25 things that I'm very thankful for, since Thanksgiving was on November 25th!
I'm Thankful For:
25.) Candy! Yum!
24.) Food! (all food) Double Yum!
23.) Crafts! They make me happy!
22.) Blogging! It's a great way for me to keep up with keepin' up!
21.) My camera!
20.) My pillow! Ahhh!
19.) A clean house, including clean beds!
18.) A dirty house...cause it usually means we're having lots of fun together!
17.) Netflix! It's been keeping me entertained at night!
16.) The Internet...I heart Skype...cause it means I can talk to the husband multiple times a day...and actually see him!
15.) Snowy days where the sun shines, and makes everything all glimmered and shiny and pretty and it makes me hate winter a little less!
14.) K-LOVE! Not just for all the beautiful love songs to God, but for all the stories from people with amazing faith for our Creator!
13.) Having the feeling of pure happiness!
12.) Coffee!
11.) Reading stories to the little guys, in the mammoth! (which is what I named our new rocker!)
10.) Old Friends! Which really means new friends....
9.) Kindness! (any kind)
8.) The military! Without the sacrifices that military has made, we wouldn't be living with all the opportunities we have today!
7.)The ability to get help whenever needed!
6.)The health of my family!
5.) My awesome home!
4.) All of my family members!
3.) My beautiful blue-eyed babies!
2.) My wonderful, amazing, brave Husband!
1.) My relationship with God! Because if it wasn't for him, I would have none of the above! He makes me feel worthy, because of his everlasting love he has for me..no matter what! And even though I'm not too fond of his scary path for Justin...I know he'll get me/us through it! And he lets me know everyday by leading me with his wisdom!
This Thanksgiving was interesting for me...personally...
It was a great day, don't get me wrong, but it was the day that my husband flew into one of the most dangerous and hostile places on the earth! So...obviously I was a little on edge...nervous, anxious, worried, sick, scarred, stressed, proud, excited, overall mixed with emotions! I helped myself out a little by not even thinking about what was going on...ya know..over there...and distracted myself with the hustle and bustle of having my family over to our house for Thanksgiving dinner! Turkey was stuffed and put into the oven at 8:30a.m. sharp, and was expected to be done at 12:30p.m. well it didn't really go to plan. He came out all golden and brown, at about 2:00p.m. One oven is kind of challenging, but we made it work! I wanted to try a few 'non traditional' sides for dinner which were, Sweet Potato Chips with Cilantro Dip, Roasted Veggies, and Pumpkin Cheesecake Pie....all were fantastic...especially the chips and dip!
Grandpa reading some Thanksgiving books while waiting patiently for Mr. Turk.
I love having a house big enough to have people over!
What it looked like outside...
And we totally did crafts after we ate....
Some sister's I know were pretty tired...
Thanksgiving night we were going to go over to Justin's dad's house but he convinced me to not drive on the scary roads in the dark all the way to Firth town...so we went to my step moms' mom's house instead where Aydan totally dominated at BOWLING...on the Wii!
Friday we went to Grandpa Polson's to hang...we made crafts, had leftover turkey, and played in the snow!
Justin is totally doing awesome and trying his hardest to get adjusted to the time difference! He flew into Baghdad around midnight the day after Thanksgiving! We get to talk on Skype at least once a day...sometimes twice! The kids absoulutly LOVE seeing daddy on the screen! Yay....Yay...for technology!
Today was his actual first day on shift duty which I think went a little longer than planned. He was working 30 yrds away from the Red Zone...(which is the hostile part)(Justin is apparently in the Green Zone, which is the safe zone)....when I talked to him this morning, and heard small arms fire...I didn't enjoy that much...But it's great to hear him, see him, and talk to him!
He is still trying to work on getting some more pics sent to me...but here is one for now...
SGT Polson is 3rd from the left! SGT Slayden is next to him in the back, SGT Giesler is to the right of SGT Slayden...and the guy on the very right is my "Buckle Guy"...(aka SGT Lash)...in the civilian world. He always picks just the right jeans out for me and the hubby...he DOES NOT look like that guy in this pic, holding the dang guns the way he is...seriously....scares me.......What a great picture though...huh?
Decorated for Christmas over the weekend!
And although I have a deep hatred for winter...I DO have an infatuation with ICICLES! They're pretty sweet!
Thought I'd post this...
Cleaning this morning, and found that I have two very diligent helpers!
Makes me smile. Every time.

I'm glad you guys had a good Thanksgiving and go you for hosting!
And as always, it's great to hear about Justin and the things that he is doing. And yeah, all those guns in the picture are a bit intimidating huh? I guess that's why it's good they do all that training so they can go get the "bad guys"! :)
