This whole weekend was a freaking BLAST!!!
We had so much fun, doing so many things with our fun families!
It was awesome...
Just let me show ya...
We started the weekend out by going to see
CARS 2
at the
DRIVE IN!
I don't know if you can tell in the pictures, but we totally threw some old mattresses in the back of our trucks, to make it extra cozy! The kids loved it! They were jumping, rolling, and snuggling all up in there! Too bad no one made it through the actuall movie! We all fell asleep!!
**************************************************
On the 3rd of July we went over to a friends house for a BBQ! Something about good food, friends, and weather makes me go to my happy place! After it got dark we lit lots and lots of fireworks!!
Gpa Snyder was bouncing the boys on the tramp! They loved it!
(And I think Gpa loves it too! I remember as a little girl, being bounced by dad on the tramp was awesome! He can get you to go SO high!)
Fireworks!
The display and amount of fireworks this year was ridiculously great! Traceon didn't really like them. He kept hiding, and hitting the ground like someone was actually shooting at us! It was kinda funny! After awhile he got used to the loud booms, and stopped freaking out!
Aydan-Bug got some turns lighting some!
********************************************
Then it was the 4th! I made the boys shirts with my new Cricut! Their shirts say "Proud that my Dad serves our Country!" and on the back they say, "SGT Polson! And they totally rocked some camo shorts! We got to represent right? We sent daddy a video that morning of Aydan singing Happy Birthday to America, and telling daddy how proud he is of him, but I didn't upload it to this computer...sorry peeps!
We went to the parade...which was rather lame...but there was a couple really cute floats!
This one had a Birthday cake, and presents for our old country! Cute!
This one had the Future, Present, and Past of our brave soldiers that defend our freedom, that allows us to live the way we do in the United States!
After the parade I invited everyone over to our house for some BBQ fun! We had ribs, hamburgers, hotdogs, fruit salad, potato salad, pasta salad, bean dip, and chips and dip! YUMO!
Did I mention that it was BLAZIN' hot outside, so we got out the pool, and slip n' slide!
You better believe that I threw on my suit, and joined the kiddos!
So did Aunt Melanie!
After naps, we went to the Chuckars game! It was so perfect! Weather, seating, company, everything. We were on one side, Gma and Gpa Polson, and Aunt Jen were in the middle, and Gma Austin (Tommie and Cru's Gma) was on the other side, so the kids just went around and we could see them while they wandered, and they had like 20 pairs of eyes looking out for them. They totally felt like indepentant old kids! So fun!
The Chuckars WON! The big kids got to run the bases after the game which was really fun!
Then it was off to the Maleluca Freedom Celebration!
Good weekend huh? Probably my FAVORITE time of year...yes better than Christmas I think...just cause you're not stressing about presents and all that junk!
Good year to reflect on what our Country is and what it stands for! I'm so proud of my brave husband and his giant sacrifice for his country's people! This year has been difficult, but as it's coming to an end, I'm starting to feel pride in our accomplishment, and it's because of families like mine, that we have such a great country to live in!
