Yay! I love camping!
So, it's now tradition to go to the Hoback for a week to camp! (Since we have done it 2 years in a row, and plan on doing it next year!) We had so much fun, but man, I really missed the ol' man this trip! He's just such an camp/fish extrodinar! Plus I'm just plain SICK and TIRED of him being missing from our family adventures! I'm ready for him to be back. I'm ready for us to start being normal again!
Anyways...back to the trip....
Got there Sunday, set up, and went to bed! Woke up Monday to RAIN!
Hung out in the rain all day, got wet, and muddy, and we decided to come to IF and wait it out for the night. Problem is that both Jess and I forgot our phones, and Derrick stayed at camp with no cell service, so we couldn't call anyone for anyone to come visit! Sorry...it was completely innocent! It was a good idea though, because when we got back to camp Tuesday morning it was beautiful, and so was the rest of the week!!
Boys on Monday...
We put all the boys in garbage sacks to keep them dry...
Wednesday morning the boys woke up to find a frog in the fire pit! They got their net and fished him out! How fun huh! They kept him all day, then released him back into the wild before the went to bed!
Then Thursday morning there was another friend waiting for the boys in the pit...
a salamander!
Rumplestilskin made it to the Hoback, and brought the big boys bows and arrows, that provided them with hours and hours of entertainment! The little boys got flutes!
Uncle Derrick thought he could totally catch a chipmonk with a peanut butter trap, with a fishing wire nuse. Jess and I were both hesitant to his success, but as soon a little guy showed up, Derrick pulled the wire and caught one! It was kinda really funny. I felt bad for the poor chipmonk though....
We of course had fires and SMORES!
I took advantage of taking some nature pics!
Bald Eagle!
Boys all taking " camp baths"!
Playing in a rafting boat!
The big boys got to go down the river 3 times! They were so stinkin' cute! They hear all the grown up talk about Khauna, and Lunch Counter (big rapids on the river) on they start talking about it, saying that the wave is 40 ft tall, and is going to crash the boat! They had a blast!
The river was so high this year, that I could hardly recongnize it. Rapids that are usually really big, weren't.
SA-WEET TRIP!
I love freaking camping! It makes me happy! And really dirty!
Thanks for inviting us again Derrick and Jess!

Seriously another GREAT trip. Thanks for coming up and keeping me company. And thanks for letting us crash the night at your house, driving back for the keys was well worth it!
Next year will be even better when Justin is thier to help build our tents and maybe put another addition on haha, and now that we are the camp cheif queens we can grill up some yummy food for our men!
I'm so glad you got a picture of the chipmuck that was freakin awesome I don't think I had laughed that hard in a long time!

Thanks again for another great trip and we will be back again next year! (Hopefully we can get Justin and Derrick to fit into those sexy wet suits again!!ohlala)
