U Pick

On Friday I thought it would be fun to go
PICK
some apples (for Carmel apples, apple pie, and just to eat) and some pumpkins for carving!
There is this cute little mini orchard off of 21st that has 350 apple trees and 4 different kinds of apples to choose from! It was so fun to pick delicious apples from the tree! We got 1/2 of a bushel for $7!

Traceon had so much fun! He loved picking the apples off the tree, and then giving them a taste!

They look delectable don't they! I think the ones we got were Concord and one other, but I can't remember the name of that one. They are really yummy and crisp!

Half way to our 1/2 of a bushel!
Isn't he the sweetest!?

Aunt Jen came with us too!

It was fun! I can't wait to make Carmel apples, and a NEW apple pie recipe! Yay!

After the orchard we went to go find us some
PUMPKINS
to carve!
Here in IF is the cutest little pumpkin farm where you can go pick out your own pumpkins straight from the ground! My camera died before I got too many pics! Ha! Ha! The boys had so much fun, and really wanted to bring home 20 + pumpkins! They also loved the little tractor train they have for kids! After our pumpkin adventure we got a berry scone and headed home for some yummy Fall pot roast! It was a fantastic Fall day!
